Recorder in the Classroom Book 1
Recorder in the Classroom is a series of recorder books written to make teaching recorder fun and very simple.
Book 1 is the first book in this series. It is for the beginner recorder player. It starts with the note B and your first tune. It then progresses to two notes and three notes. There are lots of simple tunes with each note learned. The exercises in the book use the same rhythmic patterns.
Book 1 teaches 8 notes. These 8 notes form the basis of 57 tunes including Irish tunes, Christmas Carols, English, Frence and German folk songs, tunes for two or more players and a page for your own tunes.
CD 1 is a teaching CD which accompanies this book. It teaches how to play each note. It plays each tune and exercise and encourages the player to practice with the CD.
The CD can be used to teach the rhythm of each tune, to clap along with or to play along with.
